Yo yo yiggedy yo!

Hey, hello, how do you do? My name is Jenni and this is my blog, duh. My best friend/female soulmate, Amy, decided (for me) that I needed to start a blog after having my son, Riley, who is by the way, (WARNING!!! I will NOT be abbreviating things in text talk like btw, lol, or lmao, so if that kind of dirty talk blows your skirt up, this is NOT the place for you, move on!), the love of my life, as is my hubby of almost 6 years, Joey. She thinks this blog will help me reclaim a smidge of my former snarky, free-time having, "creative" self. I tried to convince her that only she thinks I'm funny because she's my friend and she's obligated to laugh at my random movie quotations and smart-assey remarks, yet she does not concur; and I guess part of me doesn't either, or I wouldn't be boring you with this blog today, so away we go. (Here's a pic of our new family: Joey, Riley and me.)

As many of you moms already know, you lose a bit of yourself after giving birth. I remember saying things like, "I'm bored" or "Oh nothing. Just read a book and saw a matinee by myself today." Heehee! The hilarity of my former life! While I'm on a strict regime of work-home-work-home right now, due to my son's dependency on me and my boobs, I find myself morphing into a creepy, nosey, hermit lady that watchs bad tv, (Bravo, what would I do without you?!?!), eaves drops on what I'm pretty positive was my neighbors doing the hibbidy dibbidy on their outdoor trampoline ;) , and going to sleep with my son at 7:30pm on a Friday night.

While I know some of the shenanigans that I'm experiencing, like a crappy short term memory, jiggly belly and ass and thighs and arms and ... oy! I could go on forever with my current state of jiggle dissatisfaction, and occasional loneliness, although I'm never actually alone, go figure, the good is definitely outweighing the chub, I mean bad.

I have never known love like this before. My son Riley will be 16 weeks old on Friday and everyday I love him more. He totally cracks me up by shoving his whole fist in his mouth and then subsequently gagging himself, priceless! While he is my husband's doppelgänger, which my grandma and actually the rest of the world also like to remind me by saying, "Mija, (only my grandma says mija), he doesn't look anything like you. I've never seen a baby favor his father so much. He looks not one bit like you"), Check. Got it. He looks like Joey. Yet I'm the one with the numb lower abdomen, bitchin' scar, and chocolate pancakes, if you watch 'Bethenny Getting Married' you know what I'm talking about, heeehee, actually not that funny. Here's my little peanut, up close and personal.

Well, this is me. Welcome to my crazy, but pretty awesome life, (well at least Amy and I think it's awesome). Tune in next time when we discuss my 5 siblings and my parents, yikes bikes!
