Sticky Icky Ooh Ooh!

111 . . . 112 . . . 110 . . . My current fluctuating weight?? Yeah riz! These are the last three days' high temps, crazy wazy! Before you California readers give me crap about moving back, I know I know :), I know that I moved to the desert and this kind of crappy weather goes with the territory. But in the past 6 years that we've lived here the summer heat has never bothered me like it does now. Why?? Riley of course! (Who is officially 4 months old today!) We have been pretty much on house arrest for weeks now. I used to love the sun! I would dream about lake days and getting tan and going swimming, now I'm laying in my dark bedroom with the fan on and air blasting. It's just easier to keep his little butt home. Because every time I try and take him somewhere I have to try and get the car, (the black tahoe not seeming like the best warm weather vehicle now :(), to a decent temp so I don't kill my little dude first, then bring him outside to the car, trying to not touch anything, keeping the visor covering his face, and then getting where I need to go, to then just repeat the whole procedure again. Sucks! No thanks! Not unless I have to!

. . .

Was in the middle of trying to publish my blog last night when Riley woke up for a little snack :)

So, anywho, another hot day, worked for most of it, b-o-o-h-o-o! So Riley decided to ring in his 4 month birthday with a huge, mustard yellow, soft serve poo up to his chin yesterday. Lucky for me that my gentle whisperings of "save it for daddy" were taken seriously by my sweet baby, (sorry honey). And then he cried like a banshee for more than a half hour straight today for Joey. It makes me feel awful that Joey so rarely gets to spend good time with the boy because he's working so much, and when he does Riley poops on him and cries all day, sucks! But it did allow Joey the opportunity to give him a bath for the first time, which is kind of cool, even though he was washing off the poo remnants. (**I feel like I need to make a quick side note to let all you mommies in on a secret passed down to me by Cindy. FELS NAPTHA. It's an awesome bar soap that gets out poop, formula stains, blood, chocolate, and grease. You can google it and buy it online for about $5, or you can find it at some hardware stores. It is amazing!!!! Completely got the yellow poo stains off of my fav white onesie of Riley's, but it's good on colors too. Try it!)

Poo and crying aside, this kid is amazing! He's so happy and smiley and just adorably unique! We are so blessed to have this little creature that is half Joey and half me; not to be too sappy, but he's a miracle. All of our little muffins are! I just feel so happy that Riley will always know that we were in love and happy when he was born. I know that seems silly and simple, but considering my parents sitch when I was born ... it means a lot to me.

I'll try to blog again manana, but I do have Hannah Banana here visiting this week, and cupcakes to taste at Retro Bakery tomorrow. My best is all I can offer peeps, yikes bikes!
