So, no, I haven't landed on what I want to call our McFatty Mondays yet, but considering I have crazy huge news this week, I'm calling today Mega News Monday. So . . . I haven't blogged all week because Joey and I have been deliberating over a majorly huge decision. After much consideration, pro and con weighing, sleepless nights, and coffee drinking (it's my only vice allowed on P90X :)), we have decided that as a family . . . we . . . are . . .
. . .
MOVING TO CALIFORNIA!!!!
I know this will come as sad news to our Vegas friends, but I'm sure this news has insighted some fist pumping in California ;) It all started when Joey's studio partner and very close friend decided that he and his family were moving to Austin, TX, thus forcing Joey to close his recording studio. This then led Joey to suggest we move back to California. I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone that I have been wanting this move for quite some time; I just wanted Joey to want it too. It feels like everything is lining up the way it's supposed to. We've been here for 6 years, and yes, it made sense for us to be out here to build our marriage alone, but now, with Riley, it just doesn't make sense anymore. I'm always struggling to find a babysitter and much of the time I feel lonely. I will miss my Vegas friends so very much, but I want Riley to have cousins, aunts, grandparents, a family.
So in two short months, we will once again be Californians, crazy wazy! We will have finished our first cycle of P90X by then, which will be awesome! We're just starting week 6 this week. And yes it's still hard. I still would rather not be doing it. But I feel so good in my own skin. I've lost 17lbs. and Joey's lost 22, so yes the weigt loss has slowed down a bit, but that was to be expected. I'm just really proud of us that we've kept it up. Especially considering I baked all last weekend with my sister Melissa. She showed me awesome decorating techniques so I can take my cupcake making to the next level. That sounded so serious! Let me tell you, it's very difficult to resist fresh buttercream!!!! I had a couple of cupcakes and they tasted like heaven and I didn't gain weight, go figure!! I guess you have to indulge every once in a while or you'll be looney tunes!
I'd love to hear how your weight loss/exercise journeys are going and any cool tips you have for me. The only one I have is don't make a gang of cupcakes and expect to not be tempted to eat them, DUH!!!!!! More soon as our packing, job hunt, California or Bust journey continues, yikes bikes!
