I lost 1/2 a pound when I weighed in this morning!!!! I know it's not a lot, but after a week of nada, it feels huge! Go figure, I ate more yesterday than I have been eating and it was our day off of P90X, weird! Maybe I do need to make an effort to eat more to get my metabolism working better. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it big time, I Vow To Not Weigh Myself Again Until Next Monday! I need to break the obsession.
If you're ever interested in reading another mommy-blog, heirtoblair.com is awesome! My love Amy turned me onto it while I was pregnant. I followed it for a while, then forgot about it, now I'm back to reading it regularly. She is hilarious and so insightful! She does this cool thing called McFatty Mondays, where she talks about her weight loss and exercise trials and tribulations, I love it! I want to do something similar. She also encourages her readers to respond with their struggles, successes, tips, and/or thoughts on the subject. Let's try it friends. I'd love to hear how my fellow mommies and friends are doing trying to lose post baby weight or ignoring the weight :) (no judgement, I just started acknowledging mine), or any cool tips or foods that have worked for you.
On that note, one of my clients told me about an awesome sweet treat that won't break the belly bank. I have a nasty sweet tooth inherited from my Dad, thanks a lot Dad!!, so I'm always looking for something sweet that won't set my healthy eating back.
**Bella Blood Orange Sorbet (snack size)**
(In the ice cream section at the grocery store, if you feel strong enough to brave it ;), if I can you can, under the regular pints of ice cream, there are tons of mini pints. Move the mini Ben and Jerry's pints out of the way, and you'll see Bella's minis. There are about 5 flavors, but Blood Orange was the lowest calorie/fat free option. It was only 70 calories and tasted great. Kind of like a sangria slushy. It comes with a teeny spoon under the lid, which I did use because it made the mini pint last longer. Give it a try, so yummy!)
Let's all brainstorm to figure out our own name for our McFatty Mondays. Everyone use your noodles, I'll be thinking of something too. Good luck on your upcoming week. Be positive, choose joy in your life, and try not to let stress beat you down, yikes bikes!
P.S.
Riley will be 5 months old on Thursday! Shout out to Myles Ferris who will be 5 months old on Wednesday!
I am totally down to participate in McFatty Mondays (although I cannot come up with a new name for you). I've been on weight watchers for 8 weeks and have lost 13 pounds....but I gained a pound back last week after totally falling off the wagon! And now I must confess to eating out of the can of leftover frosting from the kids' birthday party yesterday. Ugh!!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work, Jenni! :)
Yeah Kar-Bear! 13 lbs. is awesome! And what can you do, sometimes frosting just happens ;) I had a few ideas for our own McFatty Mondays, I'll post em in my next blog. Happy you're on board!
